But sometimes, injury, neglect and decay can warrant the need for a custom-made dental crown to restore functionality and aesthetics to your smile. They’re also commonly used to hold a bridge in place and to cover a dental implant. We can create a beautiful porcelain crown that will fit in seamlessly with your smile.

What can I expect when getting a crown?

Before treatment can begin, we’ll assess your suitability by evaluating your overall health and asking you a few questions about your expectations of treatment. Please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions at all. We will take measurements and gather information, enabling us to make a unique crown that’s in keeping with your natural tooth shade. This information is sent away to the dental laboratory where your crown will be created. Once we get it back, we will invite you back for a fitting appointment, during which we will prepare the tooth being crowned. This involves safely removing a very small amount of dental matter so the crown fits in perfectly amongst your other teeth. Any necessary minor alterations are made during this appointment. You should leave the practice with a fantastic-looking, healthy smile.
